Padmount

ABB offers single phase and three phase padmounted distribution transformers 46 kV and below. ABB incorporates innovative materials, factory automation and the latest technology in its transformers.

Three Phase
ABB's MTR three phase padmounted distribution transformers are designed for maximum tamper resistance since the units are used to service shopping centers, schools, institutions and industrial plants. ABB offers an improved cabinet design that features a one piece sloped cabinet weather cover to effectively shed water and allow easier access into the cabinet compartment. Units may be furnished in a complete line of ratings and in a wide range of configurations to meet customer needs. Transformers are available in both live front and dead front construction, for radial or loop feed applications, with or without taps.

Product scope:

  • 45 kVA through 3000 kVA

  • Single Phase
Single phase padmounted distribution transformers provide multi-service options while meeting the reliability and safety requirements of any distribution system. The low profile designs may be ANSI type 1 or 2, straight up or cross feed. Designs may be loop or radial feed. Units may be furnished in a complete line of ratings and in a wide range of configurations to meet customer needs. As an option, the innovative composite hood may be added to provide significant operational advantages including more cost effective corrosion protection than stainless steel.

    Product scope:

  • 10 kVA through 250 kVA
